Madison, WI – UW Credit Union has been named one of Madison Magazine’s Best Places to Work. In addition to this current award, the company has received this recognition three times previously in 2010, 2012 and 2014.

“It’s an honor to be named one of Madison’s top employers yet again,” said Lee Wiersma, Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer. “Our workforce is highly engaged and strongly believes in our mission of improving the financial lives of people.”

Employees participated in a confidential survey that asked about their level of engagement and the organization’s health. The survey was conducted by Quantum Workplace and measured six key categories of engagement: Communication and Resources, Individual Needs, Manager Effectiveness, Personal Engagement, Team Dynamics and Trust in Leadership.

“Our ability to sustain such outstanding employee engagement has everything to do with the commitment of our highly satisfied workforce,” said Paul Kundert, President & CEO. “Our employees have the greatest impact on member satisfaction, so we treat our employees just as we treat our members—with fairness, dignity and respect.”

UW Credit Union has 13 Madison-area locations and 11 other locations throughout the state of Wisconsin. The company puts the best interests of both its members and employees first.

“We work hard to recruit and retain individuals who share our core values like respect people, value teamwork and deliver quality,” said Wiersma. “Because our employees are passionate about what they do, we support them with a highly competitive benefits package—including a Foundation Wage that starts at $15, a casual working environment and opportunities for growth.”
