Christian Community Credit Union Awarded $69,500 in Scholarships!
September 26, 2017
Christian Community Credit Union’s “Scholarships for Success” Program awarded $69,500 in scholarships to 70 students in 2017. Awards were given to this year’s scholars and those who qualified for the multi-year scholarship program. Students were selected based on their essay, academic excellence, extra-curricular activities, and references. The Scholarship Program is offered each winter and awarded in May. Scholarships are available for undergraduate and graduate students who are members of the Credit Union. Since the scholarship program began in 1999, the Credit Union has awarded $815,000 in scholarships.
“We are grateful to God, the people who wrote recommendation letters, and Christian Community Credit Union! It has been challenging to meet our family’s needs while going to school. This scholarship helps ease some of the burden,” said Robert Cleve, North Idaho College.
“I appreciate your generosity. While in college, I hope to show the same generosity to those I come in contact with,” said Brendon Asato, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
“As a Doctoral student and small church pastor with three children in college, I very much appreciate this scholarship. Thank you for your confidence and trust in my efforts to further my theological education,” said Pastor Michael Duke, Gateway Seminary.
