This has been declared Montana's worst fire season in more than a decade. Credit unions are deeply rooted in their communities, so it's no surprise that they have stepped up to offer support in a variety of ways.

Rocky Mountain CU (RMCU) and other community partners held a one-day drive outside a Helena grocery store for the Lewis and Clark Rural Fire Council. They collected nearly $40,000 and well over $5,000 worth of needed supplies. Bear Paw CU employee Alicia Burrington has been putting her craftiness to work, creating #Montanastrong decals, selling them online, and donating all the proceeds to support firefighters attacking wildland blazes across the state. To date, Alicia has raised almost $10,000. The #CUDifference is exemplified by credit unions that respond quickly and creatively to support the Montana communities they serve.
