(SAN ANTONIO, TX – SEPTEMBER 21, 2017) –– Security Service Charitable Foundation has helped the Brighton Center preserve its Early Childhood Intervention Program through a donation of $5,400 to purchase therapeutic supplies and materials. This program provides a series of therapies and various forms of support to help young children with disabilities achieve developmental potential.

With over 50 years of service, Brighton Center has provided family and community education, as well as developmental services, to children with disabilities or delays throughout Bexar County. Through their learning center, home-based therapy services, counseling, case management and more—Brighton is able to serve over 2,800 children from birth to 14 years annually. They have achieved the city’s four-star certification and the National Association for the Education of Young Children Accreditation.

“Due to Medicaid funding cuts, our Early Childhood Intervention Program was facing a $122,000 funding gap this year,” said Katrina Campbell, vice president of development for Brighton Center. “It is because of generous donations like this one from Security Service that we are able to continue helping children with challenges reach their full potential. Together, we can help them lead full lives and become successful, contributing members of our community.”

“Brighton Center has brought hope and light into the worlds of children who need it most,” said Brandy Ralston-Lint, senior vice president of corporate communications for Security Service Federal Credit Union. “What they achieve on a daily basis is nothing short of miraculous as they enhance the futures of children with disabilities. Their Early Childhood Intervention Program is an integral part of their services and Security Service is honored to help ensure that it continues to serve children and families in the Bexar County area.”
