Sioux Empire FCU Supports the Teddy Bear Posse to Help Comfort Kids in Need

Chartered on August 25, 1938, Bluestone Federal Credit Union was originally started to offer not-for-profit financial services to the employees of the City of Sioux Falls. Over the years Bluestone Federal Credit Union’s field of membership has grown to encompass anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in 43 counties across Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota. Credit union is helping to comfort children when they are frightened.
Sioux Falls, SD— Often, the brave men and women that protect our cities, counties, and states find themselves needing to comfort a child in a frightening situation. One of the simplest ways to accomplish this has been to carry a teddy bear or a stuffed animal in the back of first responder vehicles.
Sioux Empire Federal Credit Union is proud to support a new community initiative called, "The Teddy Bear Posse". Now through October 31st, Sioux Empire members - as well as anyone else from the community - are encouraged to bring new teddy bears or stuffed animals to collection boxes located in the lobby of all three Sioux Empire FCU branches. (For directions to any branch, click here.) Those who donate an item will receive a coupon for any large Papa Murphy's pizza for only $10.
After the campaign, the teddy bears will be presented to the Sioux Falls Police Department, Minnehaha County, Lincoln County, Rock County and Lyon County Sheriff’s Departments to assist them in comforting children in difficult situations.
