Plymouth, Mich. (September 11, 2017) Catholic Vantage Financial (CVF) will host a complimentary Shred Day event for the community on Saturday, September 30, 2017. The public is invited to bring personal papers and documents for shredding from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the credit union’s branch at 36111 Five Mile Road in Livonia.

“We want to help people in our community safeguard their identity and personal information,” said Emma Teller, CVF’s vice president of marketing and business development. “It also helps to reduce landfill and protect the environment.”

To aid individuals and families impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, Catholic Vantage Financial will be accepting monetary donations to be distributed by Catholic Charities and the Red Cross.  According to Teller, donations can also be made at the credit union’s branch offices in Livonia and Plymouth.

Teller added, “Integrity, respect, compassion and care are part of our credit union’s shared values. It’s very heartening to see how people in our community come together to help others—near and far away.”

Now serving all Catholics within the Archdiocese of Detroit, Catholic Vantage Financial is considered Michigan’s leading and most well respected Catholic Federal Credit Union. In addition to the credit union’s offices, ATMs and extensive online services, members have access to more than 5,000 shared branches and nearly 30,000 ATMs nationwide.
