EAST LANSING, Mich. —MSUFCU is pleased to once again partner with The Aitch Foundation to help raise funds and awareness for early detection of hidden cancers at the recent Hidden Key Fashion Show. In its seventh year of hosting local celebrities wearing local fashions, the Hidden Key Fashion Show raised $69,863 toward its initiatives. The evening included silent and live auctions, the fashion show, research presentations, and an in-memoriam segment. “We are so grateful for our partnership with MSUFCU because The Aitch Foundation would not be what it is today without it. Because of MSUFCU, we have been able to fund Aitch Fellowships at Michigan State University that expand cancer research for our communities and beyond.

MSUFCU helps make our annual event, The Hidden Key Fashion Show, a wonderful experience for cancer warriors, attendees, and the young MSU PHD student researchers working hard to find a cure for this deadly disease,”said Lauren Aitch, the founder of The Aitch Foundation. Additionally, MSUFCU is pleased to sponsor an Aitch Fellow for the second year. This year’s MSUFCU Aitch Fellow is Sean Misek, an MSU student conducting research into the early detection of hidden cancers. MSUFCU employees also helped create marketing materials and volunteered to clean up after the show. “The Aitch Foundation is striving to create a world without cancer through awareness and research, and MSUFCU is proud to help support that goal,” said April Clobes, President/CEO at MSUFCU. “Each day, thousands of lives are affected by cancer and we hope that with our support and volunteerism, we can help to decrease that number.”

MSUFCU is a proud supporter of The Aitch Foundation, partnering with the Hidden Key Fashion Show since its inception in 2013, and plans to continue funding cancer research and awareness initiatives in the future. MSUFCU has a national reputation for excellence and has received several top industry and workplace awards. In 2016, the Credit Union was named the #1 Top Workplace in the large employer category by the Detroit Free Press and one of Fortune magazine’s 50 Best Workplaces for New College Grads as well as ranked fifth in the nation for its financial education program by the National Youth Involvement Board. MSUFCU also was named one of West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest companies to Work For, receiving the Michigan Business Professional Association’s top Elite Overall – Best of the Best award.
