Helping students become back-to-school ready, America First Credit Union employees volunteered at the Davis Education Foundation Child Spree Friday, Aug. 4. As part of the effort, America First donated funds to provide 310 underprivileged children with a new pair of shoes in advance of the first day of school.

The Davis Education Foundation is a non-profit focused on providing financial support and resources to classrooms, students and programs within Davis School District. The annual event helps underprivileged children receive back-to-school essentials and provides them with a unique shopping experience. Every child is hand-selected by the principal of the school and receives a one-on-one shopping spree with a Kohl’s gift card, a backpack, book, basic toiletries and a hot breakfast from McDonald’s.
