HAMDEN, Conn (Aug. 17, 2017) - Connex Credit Union recently donated more than $800 in support of Rain of Hope's community service programs and workshops which help develop social skills and empower individuals to change the world. These funds were raised through the Coins-for-Change program, which contributes more than $13,000 annually to local charitable organizations as part of the ConnexCares philanthropic initiative.

Rain of Hope leverages its numerous nonprofit partnerships to create community service learning programs focused on critical issues facing society, such as civil rights, violence, homelessness and much more. Rain of Hope’s mission is to help individuals nurture and care for the world around them and understand the complex issues we face as a community and society.

“We’d like to thank Connex Credit Union for its generous donation received through the Coins-forChange program,” said Jennifer Ricker, executive director, Rain of Hope. “Rain of Hope is excited to use these funds towards our annual Intergenerational Halloween Bash which brings young trick-or-treaters and local seniors together for a fun day of games, tricks and treats.”
