Stop by any branch of Manchester, NH-based Members First Credit Union on any given Friday and you'll likely be greeted by representatives dressed in jeans and other casual attire. That's because Members First employees give $5 to support local charities and dress down on Fridays.

Dipping into its "Casual Friday Fund," the credit union recently donated $630 to Easterseals New Hampshire, a leader in providing social services for individuals with disabilities and special needs, and recognized as one of the most progressive and diverse Easterseals nationally. The organization serves more than 26,900 children, adults and seniors through more than 90 programs across the Granit State.

Members First employee donations to the fund are deposited in a special account and given to various local nonprofit organizations, such as Easterseals, throughout the year. In 2016, employees donated more than $2,500 to local charities.

"Supporting our community is a key component of the credit union's mission," said Bruce Leighton, president/CEO of Members First. "We are proud to offer this donation to Easterseals New Hampshire to help support their mission and the important services they provide to many of our state's most vulnerable citizens."
