Bethpage FCU is One of New York State's Best Places to Work for Employees

Bethpage, New York – August 10, 2017 – Bethpage Federal Credit Union, New York State’s largest credit union, announces that it has risen to the third Best Company to Work For in New York State among 24 employers, by the New York State Society for Human Resources Management’s (NYS-SHRM) annual Best Companies to Work for in New York State awards program. Bethpage was previously ranked eighth in 2016.

Created in 2007, the awards program evaluates and ranks the best places of employment through a state-wide survey designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places to work in New York, whose practices benefit the State’s businesses, economy and workforce. Companies participate in a two-part survey which includes a Benefits and Policies questionnaire and an Employee Engagement and Satisfaction survey that accounts for 75% of their score.
Over 440 Bethpage employees participated in the internal survey earning Bethpage very high rankings in Corporate Culture and Communications, Training and Development, Role Satisfaction and Overall Engagement categories, among others.
Bethpage currently organizes ten internal employee clubs, daily lunch-and-learns, wellness engagement activities such as Fitbit competitions, training and development programs, and more. Benefits include tuition reimbursement, gym reimbursement, and a pet discount care program. In 2016, Bethpage became the recipient of the American Heart Association’s coveted AHA Gold Status Award – recognizing Bethpage as a “Fit Friendly Worksite” for its initiatives to promote employee health and fitness.
