Graduates from the Hanscom Air Force Base Airman Leadership School (ALS) received recognition at a recent graduation ceremony. Hanscom Federal Credit Union, located on the grounds of the Mass. base, sponsored the event, as it has for many years.
The graduation ceremony recognizes future noncommissioned officers who complete the five-week class. The program is designed to prepare graduates for supervisory roles. Participants study academics, hone their leadership skills and participate in team exercises.
"We fully support efforts to improve oneself with education," said Paul Marotta, chairman of the board for Hanscom FCU. "There is no better return on one's time and energy than learning, and these young men and women are to be congratulated for taking this opportunity to grow."
