Altana FCU Helps Students Find Career Paths
July 24, 2017
Since 2003, Altana FCU has provided an opportunity for 22 college students from Montana to experience the credit union difference by hiring this aspiring talent to fill summer and seasonal work needs. The program requires students to be currently enrolled in a college or trade school. And, since it was originally started for the benefit of employees' children, the students often have a connection to current Altana FCU staff. From business majors, to future educators, to pre-med students, it's been Altana's privilege to employ students with varying backgrounds and interests while fostering their growth as they enter the workforce. Kim Dahl, now the AVP of Finance at Altana FCU, began her employment with Altana through this program. Starting as a part-time teller, Kim worked her way through college and continued to grow with Altana throughout her career. It's the credit union's hope that all students who take part in this program experience this same kind of success as they embrace their own career path.
