eagle oneEagle One Federal Credit Union of Philadelphia, PA recently completed a series of financial literacy sessions for the Boys & Girls Club of Claymont, Delaware. This initial series of one hour sessions was held at the Boys & Girls Club facilities on six Wednesday evenings.

The program was designed to promote financial responsibility and independence among the participants. The young adults, ages 13 through 19, learned the advantage of saving versus borrowing, how to manage a checking account, create a budget and save for college. The 11 participants received a gift backpack from Eagle One and a certificate of completion for their efforts. CEO John F. King said, "Eagle One is proud to be a part of this great program. Young people need to learn good financial habits early on, so that they may become successful adults. We look forward to continuing this program with the Boys & Girls Club of Claymont, they are an excellent organization doing great things for our youth."
