City & County Credit Union Shred Event Will Support Local Food Bank

Saint Paul, MN (June 19, 2017) – To benefit members and the community, City & County Credit Union will host the 3rd Annual Donate & Shred Event. From June 28 – July 1st, shred it bins and food collection boxes for Second Harvest Heartland will be located at all 6 branch locations.
To prevent identity theft, community members can bring in sensitive documents to any branch location for secure shredding. Documents to shred include anything that has a signature, account number, social security number or medical or legal information.
In exchange for secure shredding, attendees are invited to donate non-perishable and personal care items to help City & County Credit Union reach the goal of raising 1,000 pounds of food. Most needed items include canned meats, fruits, vegetables, grain and personal care products such as shampoo, deodorant and toothpaste.
Second Harvest Heartland is one of the nation’s largest, most efficient and most innovative food banks. They distribute over 89 million pounds of food annually to community partners such as food shelves, meal programs, homeless shelters, senior community centers and children’s after-school programs in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
