Austin, TX – Greater Texas Credit Union raised a total of $1,290 for Oak Spring Elementary School through employee and member fundraising to help rebuild the playground that was set on fire on April 29, 2017.

Organized by Marlo Major, BSA Compliance Officer at the Austin Main Branch and the Marketing team, the local credit union staff held 2 Fitbit raffles, one for staff and one for members, as well as sold snacks in the branch lobbies of both Austin locations.

Oak Springs Elementary was started in 1958, and has grown to 25 classrooms, serving prekindergarten through fifth grade. The school is looking for $20,000 in donations to rebuild the playground; they hope to break ground this summer to have it finished before school starts in the fall.
