June 14, 2017
PRAIRIEVILLE, LOUISIANA – Pelican team members gave away $20 in free gas to the first 200 cars to visit Popingo’s at 37384 Perkins Road in Prairieville, Louisiana, on Tuesday, May 23, 2017.
The line of vehicles wrapped around the building from 8:45 – 10:30 am as residents patiently waited to have their cars filled. Credit union membership was not required and no purchase was necessary to receive the $20 in free gas.
Credit union team members encouraged attendees to stop by its Prairieville branch at 17026 Airline Highway during the Grand Opening Celebration on Thursday, May 25. All visitors who stopped by during the Grand Opening were treated to free food and refreshments from local restaurants and businesses such as Louisiana Lemonade, Ruffino’s and Rouse’s. They also had the chance to participate in a Branch Tour Scavenger Hunt to receive $25 cash.
It pays to be a member of Pelican! Each year, the credit union gives away thousands in cash and prizes to members across the state. Members also benefit from free one-on-one credit counseling and a variety of convenient products and services.
