Alaska USA Foundation Gives $75K to Support Youth and Military Programs

Anchorage, Alaska – Alaska USA Foundation has donated $75,000 among five community service programs.
$50,000 was donated to the Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) of Alaska to help support military service members and their families. The funds will aid in the operation of the more than 30 programs ASYMCA provides, including hospital morale visits, Operation Holiday Joy, and Operation Kid Comfort.
$10,000 was donated to Stand Down, Inc. to help in-need and homeless veterans access vital medical, dental, mental health, and substance abuse services.
$5,000 was donated to the Great Alaska Council in support of Boy Scouts of America. The funds will provide Scouts without financial means or transportation the opportunity to attend day camps.
$5,000 was donated to Alaska Legal Services to provide high quality legal services to low- income veterans and families, as well as disadvantaged people and communities.
$5,000 was donated to Camp Fire Alaska in support of youth development programs that service more than 5,000 youth annually in the state of Alaska.

The Alaska USA Foundation was established in 2003 to support 501(c)(3) charitable organizations that provide needs-based services to children, veterans, and active duty members of the military and their families.
