Six Receive Scholarship Awards from MassMutual Federal Credit Union
MassMutual Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Springfield, Massachusetts, presented six students with scholarships at a special reception before the credit union's monthly board meeting on May 31.

Each year, MassMutual FCU (MMFCU) selects six well-deserving students to receive a $2,000 scholarship to help with college expenses.

This year's recipients are a group of young adults who have proven themselves in the classroom, on the athletic field and in various activities/clubs. They will be heading to college this fall.

  • Melanie Senk of Lewis S. Mills High School is one of the Pioneer Valley Chapter's 2017 Scholarship recipients. She will attend Northeastern University to study chemical engineering.
  • Kristopher Campbell of Longmeadow High School will attend Bentley University and major in finance.
  • Robert Koziol of Minnechaug High School will attend Northeastern University and has been accepted into its pharmacy program.
  • Aniley Morales of the Springfield Renaissance School will attend the University of Bridgeport and major in international studies.
  • Connor Rush of Loomis Chaffee has been accepted into Georgetown University and will study at the McDonough School of Business.
  • Casey Rutledge of St. Mary's Parish School will attend the Catholic University of America in the fall as a double major in civil engineering and architecture.

"We are proud to award our annual scholarships to these deserving students," said David Plantier, president/CEO of MMFCU. "It is through their dedication to their studies, their school and their community that they have already achieved much. We are excited to see what the future holds for them. On behalf of the board of directors and staff at MMFCU, I would like to extend my congratulations to all of our 2017 Scholarship Award recipients and all the best for a successful future."
