Credit Union ONE Hosts Shred Day in Macomb

Ferndale, Michigan – Clean up and Clean out was the theme as Credit Union ONE hosted a paper document shred day on Saturday May 20th at the Macomb Township Branch. Over Five tons of paper was collected and shredded on site, as Members lined up and participated between 9am and Noon. Also almost $400.00 was collected in donations for the Beaumont Children’s Hospital in Royal Oak.
The Credit Union hosts free document shred days in the spring and fall of the year, to encourage awareness and help members securely destroy confidential material.
Credit Union ONE member Sherry Boyd was pleased with the day,” Thanks to Credit Union ONE for organizing this event for such a great cause”.
“ Identity theft is such a real and ongoing threat, and our members are certainly responding with continued large turnouts at each and every one that we host” John Kozich, Vice President of Community Relations for Credit Union ONE said. “ We collected over 10 tons of paper, and nearly $700.00 in donations for the Beaumont Children’s Hospital at our two May events”.
