Massachusetts Chapter of Credit Unions Awarded $6,000 in Scholarships

Six Massachusetts high school graduates will be heading to college this fall with $1,500 each in scholarship money, awarded by CCUA's Mass. chapters. As part of the application process, students were asked to write an essay on an inspirational person or event that changed their outlook on life.

The 2017 recipients are:

  • Allan MacTaylor, Tri-County North Chapter, sponsored by St. Jean's Credit Union
  • Katherine Arsenault, Central MA Chapter, sponsored by Leominster Credit Union
  • Kweku Sam Colecraft, Pioneer Valley Chapter, sponsored by UMassFive College Federal Credit Union
  • Amanda Powers, Metro-Boston Chapter, sponsored by Harvard University Employees Credit Union
  • Anthony Perry, Southern Mass. Chapter, sponsored by St. Anne's Credit Union of Fall River
  • Riley Nichols, Berkshire Chapter, sponsored by Greylock Federal Credit Union
