The 2017 America’s Credit Union Conference will host a giveback event to support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMN Hospitals) in Las Vegas June 25. Attendees will assemble away-from-home kits parents can use during unexpected overnight hospital stays with children who are battling illnesses.

“America’s Credit Union Conference is one of our most important events, and we feel a responsibility to thank our host city for its hospitality,” said CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle. “By putting together these kits, we can provide relief to parents facing unimaginable hardship, even if only in a small way. This initiative is just one more example of how credit unions live the core principle of ‘People Helping People.’”

Participants will meet at 5:15 p.m. in the Exhibit Hall to assemble the kits, which will include shampoo, soap, toothbrushes and other basic toiletries. No prior registration or fee is required to participate. Those unable to make the giveback event can still give back by donating to CMN Hospitals through the CUNA ACUC app.

Marie Osmond, co-founder of CMN Hospitals, will appear at the conference June 28 to thank the credit union movement for their long-standing support of the organization. Based in Salt Lake City, CMN Hospitals raises funds and awareness for more than 170 hospitals across the country.
