West-Aircomm FCU Raised $11,000 for Good Samaritan Hospice of Heritage Valley

Beaver, PA – West-Aircomm Federal Credit Union is proud to announce that they were awarded the Pennsylvania Hospice and Palliative Care Network Community Support Award and the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association Dora Maxwell Award for Social Responsibility. Both were awarded in recognition of their “Bucks for Blankets” program that raised $11,000 for Good Samaritan Hospice of Heritage Valley

The Pennsylvania Hospice and Palliative Care Network (PHPCN) Community Support Award was selected among submissions from members of the PHPCN who submitted organizations and individuals for their efforts to serve the hospice community. West-Aircomm received the award at their annual conference on May 11, 2017 in Harrisburg, PA.

The Pennsylvania Credit Union Association Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award is given to a credit union for its social responsibility projects within the community it serves. This award was accepted on May 19, 2017 in Hershey, PA at the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association’s Annual Convention.

“I’m very proud of the recognition West-Aircomm has received for the ‘Bucks for Blankets’ campaign. The employees committed to the goal of raising funds for Concordia Lutheran Services to benefit Good Samaritan Hospice and they exceeded all expectations,” said Lynn Stephenson, West-Aircomm CEO.  “Our members and the community should also be commended for their outpouring of support. The success of the ‘Bucks for Blankets’ campaign is a true example of the credit union spirit of people helping people.”
