Credit Union ONE Shred Day Raises Money for Local Children's Hospital

Ferndale, Michigan – Clean up and Clean out was the theme as Credit Union ONE hosted a paper document shred day on Saturday May 6th in Ferndale. Nearly Five tons of paper was collected and shredded on site, as Members lined up and participated between 9am and Noon. Also over $300.00 was collected in donations for the Beaumont Children’s Hospital in Royal Oak.

The Credit Union hosts free document shred days in the spring and fall of the year, to encourage awareness and help members securely destroy confidential material.

Credit Union members Wendy Adams and Minnie Talley said “ The Shredding day was awesome and very much appreciated with nice people here, and we are glad to help Beaumonts Children’s Center”.

“ Identity theft is such a real and ongoing threat, and our members are certainly responding with continued large turnouts at each and every one that we host” John Kozich, Vice President of Community Relations for Credit Union ONE said.
