Minot, ND - After hearing that the Minot Salvation Army food pantry was running low, Town & Country Credit Union’s mortgage department challenged area real estate businesses to a food drive collecting kid-friendly food items. The six businesses who took part in the challenge included Brokers 12, Century 21 Action Realty, Coldwell Banker, Dacotah Bank, NextHome Legendary Properties of Minot and North Dakota Guaranty & Title Company.

The challenge created an outpouring of support with 1,783 pounds of food being collected and donated. Additionally, Coldwell Banker made a $570 donation to the Salvation Army which was equivalent to 328 pounds of food.

“Not only am I proud to be a part of the community of Minot, but I’m proud to be a member of the real estate business community,” commented Renata Buen, Executive Mortgage Officer at Town & Country Credit Union. “Whether we’re helping someone find a home, gain home financing or providing title services, we’re all in the business of helping people and the food drive is a true representation of that.”

Century 21 Action Realtors collected and donated the most food items winning the food drive challenge. As a reward for winning the challenge Town & Country Credit Union made a $500 donation to the Minot Salvation Army in honor of Century 21 Action Realtors.
