DEXSTRA FCU Holds Free Shred Day for Community

Every two seconds an American becomes a victim of identity theft. Some of the easiest targets for identity thieves are home trash bins targeting invoices, financial statements or any other personal documents. In an effort to help stop identity theft for its members, DEXSTA Federal Credit Union in Wilmington, Delaware, recently held a free community shred-a-thon at its Prices Corner Don't just toss them; shred them. Up to four boxes of paper documents per household were permitted and 8,255 pounds of paper were shredded during the three-hour event.
