Ferndale, Michigan – Two Credit Union ONE represenatives spent part of a busy afternoon with about 25 students, as part of a “bring your child to work day” at St Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital. The topics ranged from short term to long term savings needs, along with college tuition and scholarship programs. “As part of our ongoing relationship and branch office located in the Hospital, we were happy to be asked to participate” said John Kozich, Credit Union ONE Vice President of Community Relations.” We were very encouraged by the questions and discussion points that were covered by the students”.

As part of the program, always paying yourself first was discussed when building your savings program. At the conclusion of the day each participant also received a small savings bank with a $5.00 bill to add to their savings account. “We were thrilled with the discussion about college savings and scholsrships” said Judi Desilets,Credit Union ONE Director of Corporate Events.

The savings and financial services section was one of many areas that were covered by a day long program set up by the Hospital staff. Other areas such as Laboratory Services, Radiology, Rehabilitation and Food Services were a part of the program.
