East River FCU Delivers May Day Baskets to Nursing Home

Madison, SD - The weather outside might not feel like its May 1st. The snow is falling and the temperature is cold. Despite all this, East River FCU staff set out to spread a little spring cheer by delivering May Day baskets to area nursing home residents and staff.
“Our Special Work and Activities Team (SWAT), have made it their mission to seek out unique ways to give back within the community we serve”, states Penni Groce, Marketing & IT Specialist. "Living in a nursing home can often be lonely and a little thoughtfulness can go a long way in making someone’s day.”
East River FCU staff were informed that the residents are especially fond of chocolate. Each basket was assembled with chocolates and a little note for each of the residents and staff.
