HEATH / NEWARK, OH – April 17th, 2017—Hopewell Federal Credit Union (HFCU), offered its support to the Food Pantry Network of Licking County for its Operation Feed campaign.  The members and staff collected 289 pounds of food and cash donations totaling nearly $1200.00

The HFCU staff created donation drop off locations at both the Heath and Newark offices.  They hosted a Saint Patrick’s themed campaign that included a pot luck, lucky pop balloon game, Irish dress up day and can food stack.  The organization broke off into teams who competed throughout the month of March to increase donations and awareness of the event.  In addition, their annual member appreciation event, The Spring Hop, invited attendees to support the cause with a donation of a non-perishable food item.

The Operation Feed Campaign generates approximately 15% of the food and 50% of the funding needed annually by the Food Pantry Network of Licking County.
