1st Financial Credit Union Awards Grant to Mission St. Louis

St. Louis, MO (March 10, 2017) – 1st Financial Federal Credit Union, a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), chose Mission: St. Louis as their Helping People 1st Grant recipient in February.
Mission: St. Louis is a not-for-profit organization that focuses on education, job training, and other low income support programs. This is the second year that Mission St. Louis has been nominated as one of 1st Financial’s grant recipients.
1st Financial presented Mission: St. Louis with a check in the amount of $781.91 on March 7, 2017.
In addition, 1st Financial volunteered over 40 staff hours at the Revive Thrift Store, a branch of Mission: St. Louis on February 22, 2017. The volunteers revived the shop for the upcoming Spring Reveal. Andrew Potts, Creative Marketing Designer of 1st Financial said, “I am proud to work for a company that chooses to align themselves with great organizations, like Mission: St. Louis and allowing me to be a part of the difference St. Louis truly needs at this moment.”
Jaci Pringle, Communications and Volunteerism Vista, said, “We are so thankful for our community partners, like 1st Financial, who help us continue to serve St. Louis. With 1st Financial’s help, we were able to renovate our Revive Thrift Store. We appreciate their continued support.”
