March 6, 2017
March 6, 2017 – Greenfield – Franklin First Federal Credit Union has awarded Mohawk Trail Regional School (MTRS) $1,000 for its participation in a “What Are Credit Unions?” video contest. The students were asked to create a 30-second video for Franklin First promoting the credit union, what credit unions are, and how they help the community. Franklin First presented the prize to the Video Club at the school’s bi-weekly assembly on February 27.
“We were very impressed by the talent exhibited in the MTRS students’ video,” said Franklin First President/CEO Michelle Dwyer. “The participants displayed their technical abilities and in the process learned important lessons about the role of credit unions in the community. Franklin First is happy to sponsor this fun and educational experience. We congratulate the students and their advisor.”
The contest was held over the fall and winter with local schools invited to participate. The video had to be created, produced and edited solely by the students. In addition to the $1,000 prize awarded to MTRS, participating students were awarded gift cards.
