Notre Dame Federal Credit Union in Indiana will be offering four $1,500 scholarships to eligible Notre Dame FCU student members residing in St. Joseph County. All high school graduates, sophomores, juniors, or seniors attending any accredited college or university are encouraged to apply. Each scholarship is accompanied by a 2014 summer internship within the credit union department of the recipients choosing.
Under the guidance of The Scholarship Foundation of St. Joseph County, this is the second year Notre Dame FCU has made these scholarships available. Notre Dame Federal Credit Union recognizes that higher education is among the most important intellectual and creative resources necessary to face current and future societal needs and challenges. "The credit union is honored to provide this scholarship opportunity. It is a primary initiative of the credit union to invest in our youth," said Rachel Bradley, Scholarship Coordinator at Notre Dame Federal Credit Union, "After awarding the scholarships last year, it was clear that we needed to continue to make this offering available to our student members." Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on a well-rounded portfolio of academics, financial need, community involvement, leadership, and participation in academic activities by a committee comprised of a small group of Notre Dame FCU employees and Board of Directors.
