Sioux Empire FCU Holds Collection Drive for Family Visitation Center
February 23, 2017
Chartered on August 25, 1938, Bluestone Federal Credit Union was originally started to offer not-for-profit financial services to the employees of the City of Sioux Falls. Over the years Bluestone Federal Credit Union’s field of membership has grown to encompass anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in 43 counties across Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota. Today Bluestone Federal Credit Union is a full service Credit Union with over 100 million in assets and 10,000+ members.
Sioux Falls, SD— Throughout the first half of February, Sioux Empire Federal Credit Union held a collection drive for the Family Visitation Center at each of their three Sioux Falls locations. Each time an item was donated by their members or employees, a heart-shaped sticker was added to the heart-o-meter with the challenge of filling the hearts to the top. It’s safe to say the hearts were overflowing with support!
This is the second year the Credit Union has conducted a collection drive for the Family Visitation Center. The donated items are utilized at the Center during family visits to provide the children a small snack or a toy or to assist the Center with cleaning supplies and daily necessities.
On Friday, February 17, members from Sioux Empire FCU’s Care Committee met at the Family Visitation Center to deliver the collected items. The Center provided a tour of the facility which further illustrated the many ways the Center serves local children and their families. The Credit Union is honored to support the Family Visitation Center and is grateful for the opportunity to share our hearts with this worthwhile organization.
