Align Credit Union Supports Local Boys & Girls Club

Lowell, MA, January 6, 2017 – Align Credit Union is proud to have supported the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Haverhill and Greater Lowell during this year’s #GivingTuesday. #GivingTuesday is an annual event where businesses, organizations, charities, families and students around the world come together to give thanks by giving back. Align pledged to match $1,000 in total donations made to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Haverhill and Lowell through each Club’s website on November 29th. Donations to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Haverhill will be used to support the Club’s Back-a-Kid campaign. Donations made to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell will be used to support their teen programs.
“The continued #GivingTuesday match support from Align Credit Union has led to our most successful #GivingTuesday campaign to date, raising over $14,000,” said Boys & Girls Club of Greater Haverhill Executive Director, Brian Theirrien. “We’re grateful for Align’s appreciation of this special day of giving and the impact its success has on our members, the services we deliver and the Club as a whole.”
“We are so grateful for Align’s matching gift for our recent #GivingTuesday campaign. Their support enabled us to raise over $8,000 during this campaign for our teen programs,” said Angel Brunelle, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell Director of Development. “The Club’s programs help ensure that low income teens in Lowell have a safe, productive place to be after school and in the evenings. We really appreciate the continued support that Align provides throughout the year for our kids and the Lowell community.”
