(Carson City, Nevada) December 23, 2016—The Carson City Sheriff’s Office was presented with more than 200 toys by Greater Nevada Credit Union on December 16, 2017 at the credit union’s Eagle Station branch. The toys, provided by the Reno Aces, Triple-A affiliate baseball team for the Arizona Diamondbacks, were used for the Sheriff’s Office program that provides holiday gifts to children living in motels, cars, campgrounds, with grandparents or doubled up with other families.

On hand to help load the toys, originally donated JAKKS Pacific Inc., were Greater Nevada employees, the Sheriff and members of his team, and Aces mascot Archie. Greater Nevada Credit Union is the title sponsor of Greater Nevada Field, home to Reno Aces baseball and Reno 1868 FC soccer.

In total the Reno Aces provided Greater Nevada with 500 toys for distribution throughout many of the credit union’s service areas. Other local charitable organizations that received donated toys include Project Santa Claus, and Wishes & Angels of Northern Nevada.

Greater Nevada is headquartered in Carson City and has been helping Nevadans with their financial needs since 1949.  The credit union serves nearly 54,000 consumers and small businesses, and has more than $660 million in assets. Greater Nevada is the title sponsor of Greater Nevada Field in Reno, Nevada and has been consistently recognized as both Best Financial Institution in many of its service areas and as a top employer by the Reno/Tahoe Best Places to Work Awards.
