(SAN ANTONIO, TX, December 23, 2016) – The Security Service Charitable Foundation is pleased to announce a $2,500 donation to Rise Recovery, a San Antonio non-profit providing direct recovery services to youth, young adults and families negatively affected by drug and alcohol use. The organization, formerly known as the Palmer Drug Abuse Program, offers free comprehensive services at three community centers as well as partnering churches and schools. All services are provided to the community at no cost.

“Rise Recovery is often the only source of help for families who cannot afford care for a loved one’s drug or alcohol use,” said the organization’s executive director, Evita Morin. “Last year, we provided approximately 27,000 services to more than 3,400 individuals.”

Security Service’s donation will support services such as counseling, sober social activities, intervention programs, and prevention education.

“If it weren’t for Rise Recovery, many area families dealing with addiction would have nowhere else to turn for help,” said Brandy Ralston-Lint, senior vice president of corporate communications at Security Service. “We believe their programs are making a difference not only for those dealing with alcohol and drug addiction, but for our youth who benefit from the high school prevention programs and other activities.”

“Security Service has been a valued corporate supporter of Rise Recovery for several years,” said Morin. “We appreciate their support through volunteer efforts and donations such as this. We hope other businesses in our community will follow Security Service’s lead and help us help people in our community find their way to a better life.”
