Credit union acts to help furloughed members

Standing by their members during the government sequestration, Service Credit Union of Portsmouth, NH will provide the following exclusive assistance for those impacted by furloughs.� New Hampshires largest credit union will offer a special 0% APR Sequestration Loan up to $6,000 with repayment over 18 months with no payments for the first 90 days for members with existing direct deposit.
For those without direct deposit or nonmembers who wish to join, they can start direct deposit and take advantage of a special 4.9% APR Sequestration Loan. �The loan would be up to $6,000 with repayment over 18 months and no payments for 90 days. �Members who have been furloughed can also withdraw from a current certificate of deposit without any penalties. �In addition, if they have a current loan with Service Credit Union, they can defer payments for 90 days.
