Credit union gives away toyota prius in "go green" promotion

Redstone Federal Credit Union of Huntsville, AL�has announced the winner of the Toyota Prius from the "Go Green" promotion;� longtime member, Mr. Londa McCarver, was presented the keys to the vehicle in a ceremony at the Wynn Drive branch office in Huntsville, AL.

McCarver was awarded the Prius by Mr. Joseph H. Newberry, President/CEO of Redstone Federal Credit Union. Approximately 50 people were on hand for the presentation including Mr. Zach Penney, General Manager and Vice President of Bill Penney Toyota, as well as McCarvers son and local media. McCarver was automatically entered into the promotion giveaway when he signed up for bill pay through Redstone Federal Credit Unions online banking. At the presentation, he expressed his excitement and appreciation for winning. And he commended Redstone and its online services for ease-of-use and security. From June 4 through December 15, 2012, Redstone gave away an iPad 2 every week, with McCarver receiving the grand prizea Toyota Prius. Members earned automatic entries upon opening a checking account, or adding eStatements, bill pay or opening any loan with an account that already had a checking account. Plus, members with checking and a credit card received an additional entry for every $5000 in new transactions added to their Redstone Federal Credit Union credit card. Over 80,000 entries were received during the promotion period. "We are pleased with the participation of our members. They realize the benefits of going green the cost savings associated with receiving electronic statements and paying bills electronically," said Joseph H.
