Credit union hosts reception for student artists

In the continuation of an innovative partnership that kicked off in 2011, Jeanne DArc Credit Union of Lowell, MA�held a reception on February 12th for the Wang Middle School students whose artwork is currently on display at�their Lowell branch on Merrimack Street.

"This is a wonderful way to support local students and help them showcase their amazing work," said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne DArc Credit Union. "The art has sparked many positive comments from our members and visitors who are highly impressed by the talent of these children." The project was spearheaded by Wang Middle School art teacher Marta Magnus and immediately embraced by Jeanne DArc Credit Union. The latest display was installed last month. The colorful paintings and sculptures are eliciting enthusiastic comments from credit union members, visitors and employees. The artwork brightens the branch and highlights the talents of local students. The artwork rotates every few months to allow as many students as possible to participate. Students excitedly chatted with Jeanne DArc Credit Union President and Chief Executive Officer Mark S. Cochran about the inspiration for their artwork and were given signed certificates of achievement.
