Brown County Credit Unions Sponsoring Second Annual Credit Union 5K

The Brown County Credit Unions, including Sodes, Healthcare Plus, Consolidated Hub-Co, and Aberdeen FCU of South Dakota are sponsoring their second annual CU5K+ run/walk event on Saturday, October 20, 2012.
The participants in the 5K+ will travel a route that takes them by each participating credit union and is a distance of 3.6 miles, just over a traditional 5K of 3.1 miles. Participants also have an alternative option to join in a 1 mile fun walk.
Participants will receive a t-shirt with the tag line "Where You Own the Place".
Proceeds from this event will benefit Camp Dream Makers, a camp that allows children with special needs to engage in all activities made available to typically developing children. They deserve to have an accessible environment; they deserve to feel good about themselves and to fit in; and they can�enjoy being kids.
