Highmark FCU Provides Local Heroes Opportunity to Purchase Homes

Highmark Federal Credit Union�is the only lender in western South Dakota approved to provide home loans under the Homes for Heroes� program.
Homes for Heroes� is a community-minded program whose purpose is to provide real rebates and discounts for heroes who are buying or selling a home. �Heroes include active and retired military personnel, police officers, firefighters, and RNs. �These real life heroes now have a program available in the Black Hills Community that can open the door to achieve their dream of home ownership. �The credit union was featured in a local television news report, to see the video follow this linkhttp://www.kotatv.com/story/19697743/area-heroes-can-now-have-perks-when-buying-or-selling-their-homes.
�Some of the overall savings qualified applicants receive through this program include:
����������25% of the Gross Commission paid to the Homes for Heroes� Affiliate Company, whether the Hero buys or sells or both.
����������Discounted financing and closing fees charged by Homes for Heroes� lender affiliates.
����������Other Real Estate Related Discounts available in some States.
"On the financing side, there are real dollar savings for qualified heroes," said Joanie Howland, Mortgage Lending Manager for Highmark Federal Credit Union. �"Specifically, Highmark FCU provides their Homes for Heroes applicants with free appraisal reports and discounted title closing costs. �In addition, there could be savings in the amount of money needed for closing due to down-payment assistance options.
"We are happy to be able to assist our heroes who are dreaming of a new home," added Howland. �"These heroes have done much to improve our quality of life and well-being, so we are honored to be the only source for the Homes for Heroes program in western South Dakota."
