capture Duluth, GA (October 17, 2016) Georgia United has teamed up with Q100’s The Bert Show to sponsor Bert’s “Big Thank You” program. Over the past several years, The Bert Show has expressed a BIG THANK YOU by sending over a million hand-written letters to military service men and women deployed outside the United States. In past years, The Bert Show listeners and local communities have made such an impact on the lives of these military members that First Lady Michelle Obama called in to the show to say thank you. This year’s goal is the same, The Bert Show and Georgia United Credit Union believe that every single soldier deployed outside of the United States deserves to receive a letter of gratitude on Thanksgiving Day. Guidelines for submissions: • All letters must be on 8.5” x 11” paper or smaller. • Please do not use glue, tape, staples, cardboard, glitter or otherwise attach anything to the paper. • Use both sides if you like, but use one page per letter only. • Please do not send greeting cards or photographs. • Feel free to include your mailing and email address - sometimes military members will write back! • Individual letters should not be sealed in envelopes. • Please do not send anything except letters. For Group Submissions: •Letters should be bundled in groups of 50, 100 or 250. •Held together with two rubber bands: one wrapped lengthwise and the other widthwise. For Individual Submissions: •The top page in the bundle should indicate clearly how many letters are included. •When submitting 10 or fewer letters, the letters can be folded to fit into a standard business-size envelope To help give our troops a Big Thank You with a little taste of home this Thanksgiving, go to thebertshow.com/bigthankyou for details. The deadline for submissions is October 28th.
