Vermont Federal Credit Union Raised More Than $3,000 for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

light-the-nightBurlington, VT Vermont Federal Credit Union staff raised over $3,000 and participated in the Light the Night Walk to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. On Friday, September 30th Vermont Federal Credit Union staff members joined Vermont community members as they walked the Church Street Marketplace with illuminated balloons in honor of survivors, to support patients and in remembrance of those lost to Leukemia and Lymphoma. Vermont Federal Credit Unions team, "Start Here", placed in the top 2 for corporate teams, raising over $3,000 for the event through individual fundraising pages, credit union and staff donations. Mark Antell, team captain and AVP of Residential Origination, shared, "One of my sisters was diagnosed with a form of Lymphoma a few years ago.�� She is an advocate for Vermonts local Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and we both have been involved with this fundraiser for many years.� I truly enjoyed putting a Vermont Federal team together for their first year.� Funds raised go into research for finding cures for all types of blood cancers, and I love their theme: "Taking Steps to Make Someday, Today". The Credit Union participates in a variety of community events throughout the year and is proud to have participated for the first time in the Light the Night Walk.
