capture Londa Hart's kindergarten class at Chief Joseph Elementary School in Great Falls was the lucky winner of $100 in week three of Embark CU's "Back to School Bucks" program. Embark CU wrapped up its "Back to School Bucks" program last Friday. Each fall for seven years now, the credit union has given away $5,000 to schools and classrooms in the five counties it serves. Members are encouraged to stop into one of Embark's branches to nominate their favorite classrooms and schools for the chance to win a little money to pay for school supplies and other necessary items. The program lasts five weeks with daily drawings Monday through Friday: Each week four classrooms received $100 and one school received $500. The "Back to School Bucks" program is really a smart way to engage members and support a good cause (one that's near and dear to the community and Embark's roots).
