Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union Supports Catie's Closet
October 13, 2016
LOWELL Jeanne DArc Credit Unions support for Caties Closet has now hit the road as they recently sponsored the organizations van wrap. Once plain white, the cargo van is now covered in Caties Closet signature colors of light blue and green and contains the Caties Closet and Jeanne DArc logos with an inspirational mission statement spread across the side.
"We were looking for a way to communicate our mission while we were on the road and to inspire the communities we drive through to get involved," said Mickey Cockrell, Executive Director of Caties Closet. "Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union is deeply rooted in the community and their support of the community is very visible."
The van is used to deliver clothing and toiletry items to restock closets, as well as to collect donations from drives hosted by Caties Closet partners. The organization currently provides 37 in-school closets in Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire where students in need can shop for clothing and toiletries free of charge.
"Caties Closet does such amazing work to provide students with what they need to succeed," said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne DArc Credit Union. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to support them in such a fun way," he added.
While many members of the community may have heard of Caties Closet, the wrapped van allows their mission to be acknowledged in a more widespread way. The eye-catching van wrap, designed by Raoust+Partners, has already inspired community members to volunteer, and Cockrell hopes that it continues to raise awareness of the organization.
"We want it to provide a positive message for everyone who reads it and let everyone know that we are here to help students in need. Providing a helping hand and a boost of confidence can empower children to succeed in ways they never imagined," said Cockrell.
