(Somerville, MA) For the sixth consecutive year, Naveo Credit Union participated in the Miracle Jeans Day initiative to raise funds for Boston Childrens Hospital, the local Miracle Network hospital. During the month of September, Naveo joined hundreds of organizations and raised nearly $2,000 from employees and members. Naveo then matched the employee donations.
The Miracle Jeans Day collection, which took place during the month of September, allowed Naveo employees to trade in their business attire for jeans in exchange for a donation to Boston Childrens Hospital. Throughout the donation period, branches were equipped with canisters to collect donations from members.
"Miracle Jeans Day is a fundraiser our employees and members have come to look forward to each year. We are always impressed at the generosity level of our members who make this our biggest fundraiser of the year. We look forward to raising even more money for Boston Childrens Hospital next year," commented Rui Domingos, Chief Executive Officer of Naveo Credit Union.
Miracle Jeans Day is a fundraising and awareness initiative for Childrens Miracle Network hospitals to fund life-saving medical research for the treatment of their patients. The initiative is credited with raising over $4 million since 2009 to fund life-saving medical needs at 170 hospitals throughout the country. Naveo has collected nearly $10,000 over the last six years of participation.
