Footrace for the Fallen sponsorship supports city's youth
Members First Credit Union, Manchester, NH, recently donated $7,500 to the Manchester Police Athletic League (MPAL) through its sponsorship of the 10th Annual Footrace for the Fallen 5k Road Race on Oct. 2. MPAL is a non-profit organization that provides after school and summer athletic and recreational activities to Manchester-area youth.
"It was great to see hundreds of runners and walkers come out on a chilly Sunday morning to support area youth and honor our city's police officers," said Bruce Leighton, Members First Credit Union president and CEO. "We are extremely proud to sponsor this annual event, and grateful for the dedicated service of the men and women in uniform who serve our community."
The annual foot race honors Manchester police officers who have died in the line of duty. Members First is major sponsor each year.
