jackpot-raffleDiamond CU Supports the Relay For Life with Designer Bag and Jewelry Bingo On Sunday, October 2, over 130 people came out to the Grill Fire Company in Reading, Pa. to play bingo for chances to win designer purses and jewelry. The second annual Winners Choice Bingo event was held by Diamond Credit Union in support of the American Cancer Society Relay For Life and raised over $3,000 for the cause. The event was sponsored by Commonwealth Real Estate, LLC, Marshall Lytle, Broker/Owner; VBC Consulting & Construction; and Johns Great Cars. This fundraiser is unique because of the "Winners Choice" concept. Each regular game has a choice of two designer items. If the game only has one winner, that person takes their choice and the remaining bag or piece of jewelry is added to a large jackpot raffle. By the end of the evening there are over 20 items in the jackpot raffle, allowing for numerous winners. In addition to the regular bingo games, the event includes three specials, a 50/50 raffle, food sales, and a special "cancer survivors only" game. "Thank you to our gracious sponsors, our volunteers, and everyone who came out to play bingo and support the American Cancer Society. It really means a lot to be able to help such a great a cause and spend time with all of you awesome people," stated Terri Page, Diamond Credit Union Branch Manager and Berks Bingo Event Co-Chairperson. Diamond Credit Union also hosts a Winners Choice Bingo in the Pottstown area each summer. You can get up-to-date information on all Diamond fundraisers at diamondcu.org.
