Black Hills FCU Donates $2,500 to United Way

Rapid City, S.D. (09/29/16) Dedicated to improving lives, Black Hills Federal Credit Union recently made a $2,500 donation to the United Way of the Black Hills annual campaign. The donation will support various health and human services organization in Rapid City and the Black Hills area that make up the United Way of the Black Hills.
In September, BHFCU employees also donated more than $800 to the American Heart Associations Black Hills Heart Walk, and raised more than $700 for the Black Hills Walk to End Alzheimers, a fundraiser for the Alzheimers Association. �(Photo below.)
"BHFCU is making a positive impact in the communities we serve every day," said Abby Harmon, chair of BHFCUs Community Action Team Project for the Black Hills Walk to End Alzheimers. "From the American Heart Association to the United Way of the Black Hills, were proud to support so many great organizations and causes in our communities."
Employees were busy with numerous volunteer activities, including serving lunch to more than 300 competitors at the Special Olympics of South Dakotas State Softball Tournament in Rapid City; cleaning up road ditches along Highway 44, west of Rapid City, as part of the South Dakota Department of Transportations Adopt-A-Mile program and volunteering with the Pierre Area Referral Services BackPack Program, which provides meals for students from homes with food insecurity in the Pierre area.
