captureJackie Maiden, a financial services officer and certified credit union financial counselor at Billings FCU, has been offering her services to the Montana National Guard Yellow Ribbon Program this summer. Jackie was able to offer advice and ideas about finances and budgeting for service members returning from active duty and their families. Finances cause friction in all relationships, and a return to "regular life" after a deployment can be even more fraught since it often means a cut in pay. Jackie volunteered her time at two day-long events held in Billings* -- one to help families of service members on Active Duty prepare for their return, and one for service members 30 days after their return. Jackie said it was a great experience speaking with folks she met with, and she felt she helped. "They each had questions and covered areas that we as financial counselors are prepared to answer." Thanks for representing credit unions, Jackie!
